NGELEH-NEWS, KATALUNYA – Catalan Nationalist Liberal Party Victory
in the general elections of regional autonomous region Katalunya is considered
as a momentum for secession. Unfortunately, the citizens of Katalunya did not
agree to separate themselves.
Spain's leading newspaper, El
Pais, polled via telephone to the 900 respondents randomly. The majority of
respondents did not want to agree Katalunya broke away from Spain.
As ABC News reported, Friday
(30/10/2015), a number of 51 percent of the votes expressed do not agree. A
number of 42 percent more States want Katalunya declares independence from
Spain. The rest of the respondents did not reply.
When asked, in a referendum to be
held Katalunya, 49 percent declared themselves will still choose to join with
Spain. A number of 41 percent will vote for emancipation. The rest of the
respondents do not.
Artur Mas, leader of the
nationalist Liberal Party, While winning the election declared it will fight
for the independence of the Katalunya within a period of one year. This action
of course got resistance from the Government of Spain. Spain's Prime Minister,
Mariano Rajoy, planning to build a coalition with political party leaders to
fight the nationalist Liberal Party Katalunya. (int)
